Our services
We do microcement for bathrooms and showers, floors, kitchen benchtops and walls, all trowelled on by hand, and we line pools too. We look at the room, then give you a free quote.

Bathrooms and showers
We do the walls, floors, shower recess and vanity in one finish, with no grout lines for mould to grow in.
- If the old tiles are firmly stuck down, we can usually lay it straight over them.
- Going over the tiles leaves the waterproof layer under them, called a membrane, as it was put in. Microcement doesn't replace that layer, so if the shower leaks, the leak is fixed first.
- Shower floors can have a non-slip seal.
For bathrooms and showers we've finished in different colours, see our project photos.

Floors
We lay one floor with no grout lines, and it can run through your living areas, kitchen and laundry.
- It goes over firmly stuck tiles, concrete, cement sheeting or a timber floor.
- To keep it clean, sweep it and give it a damp mop with a gentle cleaner.
- You choose your colour from the colour chart when we quote.

Walls
We do feature walls and whole rooms in one hand-trowelled finish, in warm, natural or cool tones.
- It goes on walls as well as floors, so a bathroom can be one colour from floor to ceiling.
- It goes over firmly stuck tiles, cement sheeting or plasterboard.
- You can have it matte or with a soft sheen, depending on the sealer.

Over existing tiles
If your tiles are firmly stuck down, we lay microcement straight over them, so there's no demolition and no skip bin.
- We tap every tile first. Any that sound hollow get swapped for a tile the same size and shape.
- The grout lines are filled and a primer goes on so the first coat grips.
- The finished coat is usually 2 to 3 mm, so the floor only goes up a few millimetres.
For answers on grout lines, floor height and cracking, see our microcement FAQs.

Kitchen benchtops
We put a cement finish on kitchen benchtops and splashbacks, then seal it to protect it from water and stains.
- Benches, islands and splashbacks can match the floor, and it can go over an old laminate benchtop.
- Wipe up oil, food colouring and paint straight away.
- Keep hot pans off the benchtop.

We line pools with Micropool, a cement-based coating from the same Duotech range as our microcement. It goes on about 5 mm thick as one continuous coating, so the pool has no tiles and no grout lines.
- It's laid onto a porous cement base, meaning one that soaks up water.
- Because it's cement based, damp in the pool's concrete shell can dry out through the lining instead of being held in.
- The colour is made to order, so the lining can be matched to the shade you want.
For Micropool and the rest of the range we use, see our products and colour chart.
